Work in cooperation with the Hydrological Section of the National Energy Authority, Iceland and the University of Stockholm, Sweden. The study is supported by the Ministry of the Environment and the National Energy Authority.

Continuous monitoring of rivers draining the Eyjafjallajökull and Mýrdalsjökull Glaciers, south-eastern Iceland, (1999-2006). Work in cooperation with the Hydrological Section of the National Energy Authority, Iceland. The study is supported by the Icelandic government because of possible volcanic eruptions within the glaciers.

Dissolution rates and dissolution mechanism of volcanic glasses. Work in cooperation with Eric Oelkers, University of Paul Sabatier, Toulouse, France (1998-2006) and Domenic Wolff-Boenisch (see above). This study has been supported by the European Union, the Icelandic Research Council; RANNÍS, the Research Fund of the University of Iceland, the Science Institute and the Paul Sabatier University, Toulouse, France (see publication list).
