Open Research Position in Mathematical/Theoretical Physics

The Mathematics Division at the Science Institute of the University of Iceland has an

open research position in mathematical/theoretical physics
starting 1 September 2006.

The position is in the Marie Curie network ENRAGE.

The appointment is for two years and the salary scale is set by the EU to approximately 47.000 Eur per year.  In addition there is a travel allowance of 4.800 Eur per year.  Preference will be given to candidates with a recent PhD and background in one of the following areas: Random surfaces, random walks, graph theory, statistical mechanics, discrete quantum gravity.
