She graduated with a PhD in Marine Ecosystem Modelling from the University of Strathclyde in 1997. Since 1998 she has worked in the Modelling Division at the Marine Research Institute, Reykjavik. Recent research has focused on applications of statistical stock assessment models in both single and multispecies contexts and evaluating uncertainty in parameter estimation.
